Summer Proof Your Makeup
Do You Know What To Do?
Who has the time to re-touch their makeup every few hours because of the heat? Besides that, who would want to? This week we are looking at ways to look gorgeous in seconds flat. Here are some guidelines that you might want to follow.
- Cut down on the number of products to be used. Often just a touch of lipstick, a little mascara is enough. And, if you need a little shadow, choose ones especially formulated for the heat.
- Don't use a heavy hand. Keep everything light and airy. The less you use, the less chance for summer melting.
- If you do have problems with shadows melting, skip the darker colors and choose flesh colored instead. If they do melt, they are less likely to be noticeable if they tend to gather in the creases.
- If you can't go a day without liner, choose the pots that need a little water for application. A fine line along the lash line will more likely to stay put.

- Powdered shadows can be set with a little pressed powder. That should give you a bit more mileage.
- If you notice that your face is producing more oil during the warmer months, be sure to keep a supply of blotting papers in your purse. A few presses of these little gems will soak up oil in seconds.
